The sensation can vary from person-to-person. A high quality topical anesthetic is applied for the eye or lip area tattooing to significantly reduce discomfort.

If there is any swelling this may last from 2 to 72 hours. There may be some tenderness for a few days. However, most people do not need to take time off from their employment for tattooing procedures.

Soon after tattooing, the mark will be much darker in color for up to 2 weeks while the initial healing process takes place.The total healing process takes up about 4 – 6 weeks, at which in time the true color of the tattoo will be more evident.

Colors will appear brighter and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure. Between 3 – 14 days they will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost. Wait until 4 – 6 weeks to see the true color.

We are unable to predict the longevity of color retention in the skin; every person’s skin responds differently to these treatments, and this information acts as a guideline only.

Remember, all Cosmetic Tattoo Treatments can and will fade, with some lighter pigments losing intensity quicker than darker pigments. It is recommended that you to have your Cosmetic Tattoo treatments retouched and refreshed with color every few years. Most cases require retouches every 12 – 24 months depending on the pigment color chosen.
